Allan Sanders
Allan Sanders was born in a small grey shipbuilding town in the North West of England. After a brief career in computer programming he came to the conclusion that it would be more interesting to make drawings for a living. Since studying Illustration at Manchester Metropolitan University and the Royal College of Art in London, his illustrations have been commissioned for magazines, newspapers, books and advertising campaigns both at home and abroad. His interactive and animation work has been featured in exhibitions at the Science Museum in London and on the official website for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Allan’s work is sometimes described as ’quirky’. His simple everyman characters often find themselves in humorous and absurd situations. He likes diagrams, limited palettes, screen printing, comic books, hand written type and wonky perspectives.
Allan lives by the sea in Brighton.
