Aude Van Ryn
Belgian born Aude Van Ryn studied at Central St Martins and the Royal College of Art.
Aude’s work has a diverse appeal providing her with opportunities for her work to be used as theatre posters, packaging for retailer ‘Le Pain Quotidien’ and campaigns for clients such as The British Heart Foundation.
Her understanding and intelligent assimilation of art and design is sensitive and focused as are her compositions, where extraneous details are dispensed with. The ability to visually articulate often abstract values, has not been lost on corporate clients and consequently she has developed a certain expertise in business communications, working for clients such as Grant Thornton, BP and J.P. Morgan.
Aude has a keen interest in travelling. Accompanied by her sketchbooks, she has been to Namibia, Morocco, Mali, India, Central and South America and Lisbon. The observations and drawings made on her travels have been an inspiration and have fed into her commercial work and her ceramics, which is another adjunct to her illustration practice. Aude has had exhibitions in collaboration with illustrator Mariko Jesse in London in November 2007, and in Brussels in May 2008. She is currently working on two more shows for later this year in galleries in London and Tokyo.
