YANN KEBBI

SOA Architects and The Pavillon de l'Arsenal

SOA Architects worked with The Pavillon de l’Arsenal (France’s centre for architecture and urban planning) to undertake research and stage an exhibition accompanied by a book, about the future of agriculture in Ile-de-France (the region of France surrounding Paris).

The project and Yann Kebbi’s drawings started with analysing how farming and agriculture worked in 1900 and how it has evolved. Yann drew views of the countryside around Paris in 1900, 1950, and now, as well as agriculture in Paris. The artworks are based on the same viewpoint, evolving with time. Yann also looked at ancient and modern tools, and future employment that could exist.

The project amounts to a political proposal for the future of farming in the region.
