'The Game of the Goose' is a metaphor for a creative process: the action of rolling the dice, moving forward, taking risks, falling in the 'wrong' place and starting all over again.
For each artwork Fien creates a grid, from where she draws a multi-paneled illustration, based on formal restrictions and style exercises, like a game that has a set of rules. Not only for the sake of just playing but also to find different approaches to conquer an obstacle and to structure meaning as well. Fien aims to create something timeless, finding beauty in simplicity like small gestures of everyday life
