Goliath, written and illustrated by Tom and published by Drawn & Quarterly in 2012. In this graphic novel Tom creates the prequel for David and Goliath, the run up to their meeting told from Goliath’s perspective. Goliath isn’t much of a fighter, he prefers admin. Nonetheless, at the behest of the king, he finds himself issuing a twice-daily challenge to the Israelites: “Choose a man. Let him come to me that we may fight.”
