“Can’t Help Falling in Love” was recorded by Elvis Presley for his album Blue Hawaii in 1961. The record was certified Platinum by RIAA, and peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100 in 1962. During his performances in the 60s and 70s, Elvis would perform this track as the finale. It was also the last song that he performed live in 1977, prior to his passing
Elvis is one of the only true stars that you can instantly recognise by his silhouette, a motif that worked well with Jimmy’s collage style and layering technique, creating framing devices to transition between scenes. Using rotoscoping, hand drawn elements, double exposures and multilayering the visual language of a scrapbook is used to illustrate a fan’s perspective, a rich collection of memories and memorabilia. The new video is a love letter to Elvis – a mixed media collage of Elvis seen through the eyes of his fans, showing photos and videos of Elvis through the years, including some footage that has never been seen before
